When trying my first Cultus River fly rod on my local spring creek I quickly found success. After several nice rainbows I was hooked. I have a pretty good arsenal of these rods and I have my go to rod for each occasion. The 9' 6 weight is probably my most used rod and is excellent for long, accurate casts on lakes and rivers. The 9' 3 weight is awesome for dry flies and the 11' 3 weight is perfect for nymph fishing. There's plenty to choose from and the quality you get for the price is hard to beat! I also, know the owner Dave and have been fortunate enough to fish with him. He is the best dry fly fisherman I know and he's the guy I want to buy from.

Fly fishing is all about feel, and nothing feels better than my cultus river rod. I’ve had a lot of different rods from various other big brands and this pole stands out on top. It’s very light and accurate. I fish the small spring fed streams of the Driftless area in the Iowa, Minnesota, & Wisconsin. This pole has been essential to catching big brown trout for me. For the price, I didn’t expect anything too fancy, but it has better feel than all of my other rods that cost about 3-4x the price. It doesn’t hurt that the owner Dave is a great guy to deal with! I love handing these rod to my friends and having them love it as well. The 7’6” 3wt is my go to for my area and has yet to disappoint. It also comes with 2 tips which is a nice touch. I highly recommend these fly rods!
